InStyle Unveils Winners For Best Beauty Buys Awards

InStyle last night revealed the winners of its 13th Best Beauty Buys Awards. Presented by editor Eilidh MacAskill and model Daisy Lowe, the evening celebrated this annual list of 100 products, as voted by 182 industry experts. Special awards on the night went to the nine entrants to the Hall of Fame, which honours products which have won their categories for three consecutive years for the first time. These included:

Best Mineral Base - Original SPF15 Foundation, BareMinerals
Best Lipgloss - Lipglass, MAC
Best Brow Filler - Eye Brows, MAC
Best Texturiser - Surf Spray, Bumble and Bumble
Best For Instant Shine - Shine On (And On…) Finishing Spray, Bumble and Bumble
Best Volumiser - Thickening Hairspray, Bumble and Bumble
Best Smoothing Product - Tecni.art Liss Control, L’OrĂ©al Professionnel
Best Dry Shampoo - Dry Shampoo Original, Batiste
Best Suncare Line - Suncare, Sisley

InStyle also celebrated the four most recognised members of the beauty industry, in the hair, make-up, nail and skincare categories. This year’s winners are:

Luke Hersheson - Hair
Sharon Dowsett - Make–Up
Sophy Robson - Nails
Emma Hardie - Skin

For the fourth year, retailer John Lewis is InStyle’s partner for the awards, with the reader-voted John Lewis Ultimate Beauty Icon award going to Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. To celebrate the awards, the department store will be hosting an InStyle Best Beauty Buys reader event at its Oxford Street store on 28 February. Those attending will be treated to expert advice, Champagne and a Best Beauty Buys goodie bag.
