NEW No7 Match Made Lipstick Service

No7 is set to revolutionise the way women buy lipsticks

No7 is once again set to change how women shop for cosmetics. A beauty first, No7 is launching the No7 Match Made Lipstick Service; an innovative and effective make-up service that is set to revolutionise the way women buy lipstick.

Women tell us that finding the perfect lipstick colour is one of the biggest beauty challenges they face so the Colour Scientists at No7 have spent years painstakingly creating the No7 Match Made Lipstick Service resulting in 43 lipstick colours that have been specifically designed to complement one or more of the No7 skin-true foundation shades.

By using their unique knowledge of British skin tones, gained from the development of the No7 Match Made Foundation Service, this in-store analysis uses a special colour-measuring device, to give women their precise No7 skin-true foundation shade and, now lipstick colour families. Armed with this knowledge the No7 Advisors can suggest lipstick colours to flatter and suit each complexion. The specially formulated lipstick colours are grouped into six colour families:  Light Pink, Dark Pink, Plum, Coral, Red and Naturals and are available in No7’s much loved Moisture Drench (£9.95) and Stay Perfect (£9.95) formulations.

The colours for the No7 Match Made Lipsticks were chosen by identifying 60 colours that flattered one or more complexions, the No7 Colour Scientists then assessed the impact of each of these colours, by testing them on a selection of women with different ages, different hair colours and different skin tones. Any colours that were not obviously flattering were discarded, leaving 43 new colours that really give the complexion a lift.

‘You know when you have found the right lipstick colour because it wakes up your whole face in a way that anyone can see.’ Jo Watson, No7 Colour Scientist

As well as helping women to find lipstick colours that make them look great, the experts at No7 understand the emotional connection women have with cosmetics. They understand that finding that perfect lipstick has the power to make women feel great about themselves whether that’s more confident, empowered or glamorous; giving them that real ‘Ta Dah!’ moment every time they use them. As part of the development, ordinary women were recruited to try out their chosen lipsticks in the course of their daily lives, the No7 Colour Scientists found that wearing the correct colour of lipstick can have startling positive effects. One No7 tester said:

“This is making me change. I just seem to not only get more attention but people seem to listen to what I have to say. [Wearing this colour] I have found it easier to engage people. I feel bright and bold, glamorous, happy and positive.” Maz, aged 44
