US Mineral Make-up Brand Concrete Minerals Launches in the UK

CutECOsmetics has introduced US mineral make-up brand Concrete Minerals to the UK. Launched in 2009, Concrete Minerals creates richly-pigmented mineral make-up that contains no parabens, fragrances and artificial flavours, nano-particles, bismuth oxychloride or talc.

Illamasqua Partners With Selfridges for David Bowie Tribute Experience

British cosmetic brand Illamasqua has been chosen by Selfridges to collaborate in its 'David Bowie is all yours' tribute experience. As the V&A stages David Bowie's first major retrospective, the museum has also collaborated with Selfridges on the launch of the store’s own homage to the British icon.

From now until 28 April, Illamasqua’s presence in the Selfridges Concept Store will provide a unique one-stop destination for a Bowie-inspired makeover.

Illamasqua’s Creative Director, Alex Box has created three custom-made Bowie illustrations to be showcased in the Selfridges Concept Store alongside the Illamasqua pieces used, chosen specifically so the visitor can create their own individual interpretation of the iconic Bowie looks at home.

An hour-long Bowie-inspired appointment is priced at £30 and Illamasqua colour manicures with one Bowie-inspired accent nail are priced at £20.

Illamasqua and Selfridges are further celebrating the David Bowie experience by hosting exclusive “Alex Box, Bowie is” live make-up experiences on 18 and 25 April in the Concept Store area from 7pm to 8.30pm. Followed by a Q&A session with Illamasqua’s Creative Director, Alex Box. / @Illamasqua
