Back to its first love of stage, Bourjois brings into the spotlight the modern day ballerina for Spring 2011!

Eye Focus: dress your eyes in tender, poetic shades with smoky accents for a graceful ballerina look with the soul of a rock star

Subtly define your eyes with an ultra-soft duo of delicate pink and a flash of softly shimmering silver shades Apply pink Little Round Pot eyeshadow Rose Dragee #05 over your eyelids following the curve of the eye through to the inner corner of the eye to highlight. Blend in the eyeshadow from the base of the eyelashes to the eyebrow arch. Next, add the sparkling silver Little Round Pot eyeshadow Argent Pailettes #25 putting more emphasis on the outer corner of the eyes to open them up.

Step 2: For that Rock ‘n’ Roll Touch
Using the Effet Smoky eyeliner in Ultra Black #76 draw a thick black line onto the base of your eyelashes with the pencil end of the liner and blend it in using the brush tip to create a perfect blended look. CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS - LIMITED EDITION HEAVEN AND HELL ’GRAFFITI’ SOAP

“I first discovered this natural, beautifully packaged liquid soap in France. The French take their products seriously and not just any soap gets the denomination as it must be made up mostly of natural oils in order to be truly Marseillaise." Gwyneth Paltrow

Compagnie de Provence Graffiti Liquid Marseille Soap £16.50

Keep it clean for 2011 with Compagnie de Provence’s limited edition Heaven and Hell ‘Graffiti’ soaps, representing the urban face of France’s most legendary region. This year, the Marseille- based soap and skincare brand invited graffiti artist iLK™ to ‘tag’ its classic glass bottles in homage to the wall art flowering across the Provençal capital, where hip hop and graffiti culture
reign supreme. France’s Banksy, iLK™’s work has also featured on collections by Lacoste and Nike.

Inspired by Marseille’s reputation as a city of contrasts, the ‘Heaven’ and ‘Hell’ graffiti-illustrated bottles symbolise the city’s two extremes: the chaotic buzz of the working port versus the purity and tranquillity of the Mediterranean sea. The limited edition bottles contain a specially fragranced liquid Marseille soap (Savon de Marseille) combining the sparkling sharpness of citrus fruits with vibrant woody notes and green top notes. Each 500ml pump action glass bottle is presented in a beautifully illustrated gift box.

A cult staple in French kitchens and bathrooms for over twenty years, Compagnie de Provence singlehandedly revitalized the ancient Marseille soap industry, transforming the iconic cube into the first ever liquid soap, which is still made in cauldrons according to centuries-old tradition.

Tri-Phase renewing and conditioning formula: Key ingredients and benefits
Mucor Miehei Mushroom Extract
The unique self-neutralising proteolytic mushroom enzyme mimics the skin’s own natural exfoliation process by dissolving the protein “glue” holding dead skin cells
together. Activated with an electrolyte buffer, when the enzyme reaches the higher
pH of living cells, the exfoliating activity is shut off, resulting in a gentle, non-irritating
peel.
Chia Seed Oil
NUTRILITE™ sourced Chia Seed Oil is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and a liposome technology to help repair the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Red Seaweed Extract and Glycerin
Provides a softening and conditioning film to the skin to help retain moisture. Glycerin acts as a powerful humectant, to help increase moisture retention in the skin.

ARTISTRY™ is available at the Amway Experience Centre in Holborn, London, WC1 – Tel: 0207400 1100 For nationwide availability Tel: 01908 629466 or visit www.amway.co.uk

We Love - Cosmetics A La Carte Brow Ink!

I have been trying out this fabulous eyebrow ink over the last week & have been super-impressed with the results to say the least, it will definitely be a permanent feature in my make-up box!!
People always say that the eyes are the window to our souls, well the picture frame is pretty important to that as well (meaning our eyebrows of course!). The shape as well as over all finish to your brows can completely transform your over all look, many people find their brows need 'filled' due to over waxing & plucking throughout the years. Some of the over all shape can be a little sparse in areas, also generally thickening & shading will give extra definition anyway which is great for all of us.

Brow Ink will enhance and shape any eyebrow style, giving you fantastic brow definition, also the ink is semi-permanent which removes easily with cleanser. It has an easy to use flexible fibre tip head that gives great control so that you can achieve your look in a few mere moments!
It comes in three true to life neutral shades Blonde, Taupe and Sable, Brow Ink can also double up as a natural eyeliner or semi-permanent body art (great idea for some smudge proof eye make-up!).
£22 Each - Available from www.cosmeticsalacarte.com

WEAR TEAL NAIL VARNISH AND HELP OVACOME BEAT OVARIAN CANCER

OPI is donating £1 for every bottle of its new ‘Ski Teal We Drop’ nail polish sold during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month this March.

Leading professional nailcare brand OPI is teaming with ovarian cancer charity Ovacome to launch Teal Tips: an initiative to encourage women to wear teal coloured nail polish and prompt awareness of the fourth most common cancer affecting women in the UK.

Teal is the recognised colour for ovarian cancer and an up-and-coming shade in fashion and home decor. OPI and Ovacome hope that by wearing the polish, women will get their friends and colleagues talking about the disease and its symptoms.

Ovacome’s patron, actress Jenny Agutter, will be the face of the campaign.

OPI’s UK distributor Lena White is donating £1 to Ovacome for each bottle of its Ski Teal We Drop shade it sells during March in upmarket outlets such as Harrods, Selfridges and John Lewis as well as salons and spas throughout the country.

Bottles sold during March will carry a label highlighting Ovacome’s BEAT campaign, which spells out the main symptoms of ovarian cancer: B is for bloating that is persistent and doesn’t come and go, E is for eating less and feeling fuller, A is for abdominal pain you feel most days and T is for talking to your GP. Also BEAT information literature will be included with the bottles, which are also available to individuals via mail order.

Ovacome’s chief executive Louise Bayne says: “We are delighted to have the support of OPI with such an innovative and novel campaign. We hope that as many women as possible will wear Ski Teal We Drop, and as well as looking fantastic will be helping raise awareness of ovarian cancer and its warning signs.”

Lena White, director of Lena White, is pleased to be involved in such a proactive campaign. “Colour remains an important force in nails, as well as in all aspects of our lifestyles. In the world of nail colour, teal is the new black.
One look at spring 2011 fashion and beauty trends and teal is seen everywhere. Colour is linked strongly to emotions, nail lacquer offers a way to express those feelings and make a statement.”

Look out for updates on the campaign on Facebook and Twitter (#tealtips).

To order your bottle of OPI Ski Teal We Drop for £10.50 contact Lena White on www.lenawhite.co.uk

Ovarian cancer affects 6,800 women every year in the UK, but many women are diagnosed too late because the symptoms can be vague and non-specific and the disease is often mis-diagnosed for common complaints such as IBS or the effects of the menopause.

How you can help:

Beauty: Ovacome's Teal Tips campaign. Women are being asked to paint their nails in teal to prompt conversations about the symptoms of ovarian cancer - BEAT spells these out: B - is for bloating, E - is for eating less, A - is for abdominal pain, T - is for talk to your GP. Women can support Ovacome by buying OPI's Ski Teal We Drop in March and the leading professional nailcare brand will donate £1 for every bottle sold to Ovacome. Buy the nail varnish at www.lenawhite.co.uk or for help and support with ovarian cancer visit www.ovacome.org.uk.

Support: Ovacome has launched an online symptoms tracker that women can use to accurately record their symptoms and track them over a period of two weeks or more. The tool was designed by gynaecological specialists and GPs to make sure it does not scare women unnecessarily, but will alert women to visit their GP if there is cause for concern. If this is the case, women can print off a detailed report of their symptoms and take it along to their GP. Please go to: http://www.beatonline.info/tracker/intro
