Garnier Vital Restore - Perfect Mothers Day Gift!

Garnier's new Vital Restore Range for Mature skin is a perfect gift idea for Mums this Mothers Day & with the added beauty of Orchid extract all wrapped up in a perfect little tub where is the need for flowers! Orchids are not only known for their flawless perfection but they have a very long lifespan, inspired by this Garnier's skin experts chose to enrich their new range for Mature Skin with the extract.
Vital Restore is an over all anti-ageing range & with the Orchid Extract it helps to restore & revitialise mature skin, as we know after a certain age the skin will loose it's elasticity & firmness but with the Orchid Extract & Soy Bioprotiens the cream can rehydrate & reinforce the feel of he skin's structure, diminsh age spots & combat the effects of collagen & elastin deteriotation.
The range includes 4 products 'Complete Revitalising Cream SPF15 Day & Night' to hydrate & reinforce the skins structure as well as protect against age spots, as with all Garnier creams it has a fresh as well as velvet feel on the skin which is easily absorbed leaving the skin feeling instantly softer. The 'Vital Restore Beauty Serum' illuminates the skin & used underneath your daily moisturiser it revitalises & evens out skin tone plus stimulates cell activity. The fourth item in the range is 'Eye Complete Revitalising Cream' which will visibly reduce bags & dark circles. Using the full range together obviously will maximise the effects & leave the skin feeling firmer brighter as well as more youthful looking - defintely the best present a Mum could ask for next Sunday!

New from Lancome - Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

Lancome have just launched their new anti-ageing product 'Genifique - Youth Activating Concentrate', as it implies in the name it works at the origin of your skin's youth, your genes produce specific proteins responsible for the cells structure & these diminsh with age however 'Genifique' kick starts this process & stimulates their activity. It is not about turning back the clocks as such but about encouraging the skin cell renewell as an "activator" & is aimed at women even in their twenties to protect against the signs of ageing as well as women in their fifties & sixties. It is easy to use & is a non sticky formula that glides on to the skin & is absorbed quickly & easily, it is not a moisturiser so apply your normal product on top for best results. All that is needed is 3 small drops of the formula, so a little goes along way, apply to the face in an upward motion with the fingers avoiding the eye area. It gives the skin a soft velvet feel immediately after use & over time restores the texture & over all tone of the skin, Lancome describe it as 'putting a light on under the skin' it puts radiance back giving you a youthful glow to the complexion! After using this over the last few weeks I have to confess it has already starting working it's magic..!! My skin feels softer than it has for a long time & the over all tone is smoother with added radiance, a definite winner!
Available at all Lancome Counters Nationwide.

Huge Lips - Skinny Hips!!!!

The latest magic trick to hit the beauty market is this ingenious little gloss & I just love the name - 'Huge Lips - Skinny Hips'! The product basically claims that while it gives you the perfect full glossy pout it also helps to curb your appetite at the same time, too good to be true...well maybe?!
It contains Hoodia Gordonii extract that is derived from a plant found in Namibia, the manufacturers say that it is known for its many appetite suppressing benefits. What they claim is that once the gloss applied, you should run your tongue over the lips whenever you feel hungry, in just a few seconds that feeling of hunger will disappear... I am yet to be totally convinced! Although with Vitamin B3 the gloss stimulates the blood flow to the lips to create fuller pout without the stinging sensation of other products, after regular use they claim that this can also help reduce any fine lines & wrinkles around the mouth area too.
Well over all as I've mentioned I am very dubious about it actually reducing your appetite to aid weight loss, but it certainly will give you beautiful pout & with the name I'm sure it'll be cult product in no time! £18 at Space NK from 01/03

Oscar Glamour!

Oscar glamour sparkled all over the world last night & as the stars gathered on the red carpet the media frenzy began..!! Here are a few of our favourites from the night!
Firstly lady of the night Kate Winslet who has most certainly been the toast of this years awards season! Kate looked demure & stunning as ever in a deep grey & black satin dress by Yves Saint Laurent, her hair was elegantly swept back with a vintage style & her make-up perfectly flawless & glowing! Get Kate's flawless skin by applying a light base of 'Chanel Pro Lumiere' foundation, it is semi matte to create a perfect finish & it's reflecting pigments give your skin a fresh radiant appearance! Sweep some of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compact across your cheeks & lightly over the t-Zone to give a light warm glow.
Sarah Jessica Parker stole the show on the red carpet with her very extravagant Dior gown, which she apparently struggled with as she manoeuvred her way through the crowds, some criticised it for being a tad over the top, but I think SJP pulls it off fabulously!

Heidi Klum looked colourful & fantastic in a bright coral number & Anne Hathaway shimmered & sparkled in a beautiful Armani Prive jewel encrusted dress, again with an elegant vintage hair design she looked the epitome of classic Oscar glamour!

Of course the talk of the evening were Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie as well as Jennifer Aniston with her Partner John Mayer. Angelina opted for a classic black dress, only picking up one colour with vibrant emerald earings, she also sported her signature make-up look with very defined eyeliner on the top lash line & neutral lips, again very simple & classic. Jennifer Aniston also sparkled in gold & was certainly glowing as she took to the red carpet!

Victoria Beckham At Giorgio Armani Launch

Victoria Beckham has always been a fashion icon but her status has increased dramatically in the last year as her second dress collection was met with great success on Sunday at New York Fashion Week & described by critics as 'accomplished', her first collection virtually sold out immediately on it's launch last year as well. Stepping out to Giorgio Armani's launch party for his new 5th Avenue Store in New York last night she was looking a tad on the thin side & the curves displayed in the multi million dollar ad campaign for the Armani Lingerie collection are clearly now a thing of the past! However her toned legs were on show in a fabulous sparkly asymmetrical tunic number - bang on trend as usual! After her very successful debut on Sunday Victoria showed up to support the latest launch in the Armani brand saying - 'I have so much respect for Mr. Armani - you know, I can dream.'
