Mac have just released their latest look for winter with a naked frosted finish on the lips & cool greys for the eyes with black eyeliner.. The 'Chill' collection is out now, here are a few items -

Fake Your Winter Sun!

Short days, long nights, no sunshine...not good for keeping up the tan & now of course with all the sun bed health scares, sunless tanning from a bottle is the best way to go!

Fake Bake is one of the best known products & one of their newest lotions 'Gold Self Tanning Lotion' has added extra benefits, it has antioxoidants that protect the skin at the same time as giving you a beautiful golden tan, it's also a bit easier to apply than the original lotion.

St Tropez Bronzing Mist, a great way to get a quick spray tan at home, I don't think the effects are as great as getting a professional once over with a spray tan technician but it's still a great quick fix & less expensive! It drys in 60 seconds which is handy & also lasts really well too so your tan will go that bit further....

Make Believe Tan Extender came up trumps in the How to Look Good Naked polls, winning first place for sef tanning, this product has a hint of self tanning in the lotion as well as various fruit extracts, oils that have also proven to smooth your skin tone, have anti ageing benefits as well as help melanin production, so an a good all rounder! Use every day to keep up a natural glowing tan.

Nude is the New Black!

The latest trend for our pouts in 2009 is 'Nude', this time last year 'Coral' was the hottest new shade, first seen at the Oscars & then a popular choice on the red carpet at the Brits. Madonna has gone for yet another reinvention with her style & has dropped the wavy hair look opting for a new sleek cut, although many observers apparently feel that she has simply transformed herself into Kate Winslet...! Kate who is the toast of the Golden Globes this year I'm sure would be flattered to hear that the queen of style is taking inspiration from her look, however I feel there is only a slight coincidence to blame! Katy Perry - Vintage Hollywood Glamour At The Critics' Choice Awards

The stars were out in their droves for the first time this year at Hollywood's Critics' Choice Awards, the red carpet was awash with glamour but I particularly love Katy Perry's look for the evening. Katy is becoming quite style icon with her explosive arrival on the pop scene last year, her look last night was classic hollywood vintage chic with fabulous femme fatal make-up!
To get her look, emphasise the eyes with Mac Fluidline in 'Black Track', use their 'Small Angled Brush - 208' to get a good control on the line, the slant gives easy application. Take it in stages, start as close to the lash line as possible & take it out slightly at the edges & create a flick, to get good definition bring the line up slightly in a curve on outer third of your eye, steady your hand by leaning on something in front of the mirror. Finish off by applying a false lash strip to create an over all film star dazzle!!!
